"Monkey power! Straight from the jungle."

[our very little dog, Molly, is head-butting Adam to get under the covers] Don't push. Stop pushing... [by now Molly has already wandered away] Back the fuck off!"

__________

Karen's note: Yes, Adam was definitely still asleep for all of that.

  1. Monkey Power! Why didnt you put a banana under his nose and let him breath its aroma, wonder what he would of made of that! What is Adams obsession with animals?

  4. The monkey power one should be on the t-shirts, definitely. With a picture of a monkey! A bad-ass, fighting monkey!

  7. T-Shirt of the century would have to be a picture of the very little dog with the phrase 'back the f#ck off' printed underneath it. Priceless.

  13. I think you're thought process is fantastic. You don't waste anything apparently. The whole world is wonderful fodder for your personal skill honing and our enjoyment and appreciation.
I hope to someday see a movie about your monkey power head butting dog and sleep talking hubby. More power to you and all those truly active brain cells you see fit to share. I love it! I Think I may even begin to talk like a pirate, why not lmao :>)

  14. I love your blog. I discovered it after listening to BBC Radio 2 with Steve Wright in the afternoon. Your other half is a legend. So so funny. My hubby talks a bit in his sleep too, and does very strange things like holding his arm straight up in the air for ages. Anyway thank you for sharing. X

  20. As a younger person, I was a sleeptalker. Thankfully no one thought to record my inane ramblings. Now I'm an insomniac who gets to listen to her husband's grumbling...none of it as funny as Adam's.

Thanks for sharing it with the world. I wish you all sorts of fame and success and buttloads of money!

  21. After talking my sister this morning about things I say and get up to at night she said I should take a butchers at this and it makes me laugh. My poor boyfriend has to put up with lots for my night time activites so he will need to be introduced too. He banned me from watching 'I'm a celeb' after I woke him (and me) out 3 nights in a row shouting 'SPIDERS!!' But mostly I am highly abusive, which is funny in the morning...

Loving thinking about what Adam could possibly be dream about, I'm sure you could make them into a great movie or something.

  22. I came across you all via the Daily Mail and have been laughing my butt off reading Adam's nighttime comments. :) I talk a little in my sleep, I'm told and just this morning as I woke up I said that I was "apprehensive about the treaty with the Pillow People." WTF?? XD

  27. Good evening everyone. It's Karen (you know who). Sorry I haven't responded sooner or to anyone's individual comment, but things have got a little crazy here.

We are in the middle of a whirlwind. The media are all over us. We are trying to navigate our way through this and stay in one piece. We have done a quote a few newspaper and radio interviews but it is still mazing how many other radio stations have been talking about us - so thanks for letting us know about Steve Wright, I will check out iPlayer.

Thank you so much for all your continues support. Adam and I do love your posts and yes, we will be making 'Monkey Power' into a T shirt soon. We are constantly creating more T shirts as we have so many requests.

Right, early night for us tonight. Adam is already snoozing next to me. (typical). We are on This Morning in the UK tomorrow morning. I am still trying to work out how I can get my folks back home to see this!

Goodnight everybody, and thank you again.

    Karen

    1. The British TV and radio stations seem to be a bit fussy about viewers abroad not watching their stuff (I'm speaking from past experience). It's a shame, I'd like to watch some full programs from ITV here in Sweden, not just clips (it's their This Morning YouTube channel and their clip of the interview they did with you and Adam that lead me here by the way, I was looking at their channel in hope pf catching interviews with actors). I love your blog, the ramblings are very funny indeed!!

  33. Found out about this on This Morning, it's hilarious! My ex-boyfriend used to sleeptalk and say things similar to Adam, "The monkeys are back, so many monkeys, with red jackets. Why are they after me?" "Only when i've been drinking, does the ferret live. Before then he is just an illusion." I could actually have a conversation with him while he was asleep! But Adam sounds even funnier!

  34. Just found you guys today! Love it. I've sat at my computer and laughed for at least 20 mins. Thanks!
I'd love to see "Monkey Power straight from the jungle" on a tshirt - I'd buy it for my husband in a heartbeat!

  35. I love the Monkey Power one! That's GOT to be a shirt! Ever thought of making bumper stickers too?

  36. Edit: Your second quote is missing an opening quote mark.

My ex sleep mumbled and shouted; mostly incomprehensible, in a deep male voice, and ordering someone to get out. Urgent, scared, scary stuff. She had a fairly rough childhood, which might be the source of some of it.
