Dec 1 2010

It's Wednesday Rewind! Today's theme: Foods Adam (and apparently STM) avoids at all costs.

"My vision of hell is a lentil casserole."

"Avocados? You can shove them up your ass as well."
 or click here
"Lentils are evil. Pure fucking oozing evil."
 or click here
"BLECH! You can't give me that cottage cheese shit. It's like albino diarrhea."
 or click here
"Here's an avocado salad. There's danger camouflaged in the green."
 or click here
"Damn you lentil gods. Banish thee and your evil produce!"

Karen's notes: I think it only fair to reveal that Adam's disdain for avocados masks his terrible sadness at being allergic to them.

Merch news: Yup, another promo!

  1. I don't have as good an excuse as Adam to stay clear from avocados. I just really don't like them. Now that I've gotten over the hatred I once bore them, thanks to my parents constant attempts to sneak them into meals and force me to eat them, I'm just sad, because they seem to be awesome for just about everyone else. But hearing Adam's statements of avocado-hating solidarity makes it easier to bear. :)

  3. Avocados take like soap anyway. But somehow that isn't a bad thing...

  4. Is Adam aware of Axe Cop and Avocado Soldier? I fear he would suffer cognitive dissonance from the awesomeness of the comic and the pure evil that is the avocado.

  5. I hate avocados too. I think they're gross. Their consistency and color reminds me of boogers.

  6. My husband says guacamole and baby poop are too similar-looking for his sensitive palate. Personally, I love avocados and guacamole, but I can't figure out how a vegetable can be all fat.

  8. Sorry. Too many typos. Let's try this again.

I had a friend who was allergic to avocados but loved them. He made a mean guacamole. Sometimes he would have a taste but he said if he ate them, within a minute, he'd want to scratch his tongue out of his throat.

  9. Lentils! BLEAGH!!!! How can they look like peas and taste like shit? But they do! THEY FUCKING DO!!!!! Avocados, I can eat! Guacamole, you can keep! Broccoli, and Cauliflower, is fine raw, but if you cook it, you can keep it! Asparagus? BLEAGH! Likewise with okra, unless its fried with breading, or put in a soup!

Yes avocados are fruits! If it grows on a tree, or a vine, its a fruit! If it grows on a bush, its a berry! If it grows on an annual plant, its a vegetable! Tomatoes are fruits because they grow on a vine! So are squash, gourds, and pumpkins!

  10. What? There is no coupon codes for other European countries. Why not? If I may ask.

  11. I don't have to have an excuse not to eat avocados or lentils. Except I have become strangely used to the glob of guacamole that Taco Bell puts in one end of their chicken burrito.

  12. At least you admit it :)

  13. How can people hate avocados? Honestly! I loooove them!

To add to the fruit/vegetable debate, Stoney - your verson is much much simpler, I wish we learnt that at uni!!! Theoretically if it reproduces from seed it comes under the fruit banner, vegetables are generally the rest. If you want to get technical, banana's are actually berries, and strawberries, blueberries and raspberries are not...

  14. Lentil soup's not too bad......... if you put enough sausage in it, and spice it with hot sauce......

And what would we do without guacamole - one of the great Comedy Foods of all time? 7@=Q

  15. I've never had a lentil or an avacado. As I've said before though, I love cottage cheese... though I can't eat it for a while now. ;)
Unrelated, the link on my name is a referral to Neopets.com. A ton of fu~un... *elbow* I think people were confused about it. Ad-like thing end. Sorry!

  18. I'm so excited to hear that I'm not the only person deathly allergic to avocados! Everyone looks at me like I'm lying, that I really just don't like them and am being dramatic. Then they just pity me....but, I must confess that I love them. I feel your pain STM!!
