"Bring it on, King Kong. I'll kick your monkey ass right back to the jungle."

"My pony's for sale. Yes, it fucking works! I wanna get a stripey zebra instead."

___________

Karen's note: Speaking of King Kong, check out Adam as the great gorilla and me as the distressed damsel in our re-enanactment of the classic film:

Now, come on, who is the Photoshop Master?!

To explain why I happen to have this around, we did a series of these iconic cinema re-enactments for the table theme at our wedding. I hope no one is scared off by seeing so much Adam.

Added later: In response to lots of requests, the rest of the set are now in an album on the Facebook fan page.

  1. A zebra without stripes is otherwise known as a pony - of course it's time to move up in the world!! Go Adam!!

  9. a man abouts the wilderness...lotza furry animals...creatures of the night...the holiday honeymoon vacation, elephant noises...it all fits now...he needs his fix at the zoomoopoooh, but, don't cross him...he's bound to get a tad excited'n kick the * daylights outta ya once and for all, don't tempt him with any bananas or he'll KingKong you to..!!!...

with a change of heart at least only as one can tell him 'only in your dreams' with his sweetalk back response...... its gonna be quite! The Zoo since he's moved on up from that pony sale he had to barter for that special stripey zebra--- was no feat, but he's in a happy heehaw now where he gets what he wants...quite unruley that Adam, but that's what floats his boat, dolitle to get a lot...

being in a riproarin' mood, he sez it's time to join the 'circus; watchin' as we step into this door to his mind, wired for sound...appetizers to follow...and semi-entertainment acts for your enjoyment...includes rope and whipcracking lessons! from dusk to dawn. woowooWhatup! Disco Jungle Party by the Jersey Shore! ...costumes optional...GTL...and then it's back to the plank...shoulda known... :+P

  10. Oh, yeah, Brits say "zebra" with a short e. And we use that word more here than in the States, because the places that you can legally cross the street are called "zebra crossings." So now I say zebra with a short e like an idiot.

  11. Can I have permission to use the King Kong line? If I ever get into a fight, I want to use that line, see what happens with it. I bet the fight ends and there is a good laugh!

    ReplyDelete
  12. But I hope you do not get into a fight, nor have the need to use this line. I would hate to think you use this line by way of confrontational avoidance and then get your arse kicked from here to kingdom come!

  16. Just wanted to let you know that I just found this blog last night and read the majority of your husband's...colorful phrases outloud to my mom. She laughed so hard that she ended up crying and begging me to stop, which is a trademark of approval in our house. ^_^ Great stuff. Thanks so much for sharing it!

  28. Adam, if ya need to bring the pony to our house, let me know. My husband may not be too happy taking on another one, but it might just fit right in...

The pic is our Arabian stallion.

No worries about King Kong around here either. Watch out for his right hook.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Well, a person ought to be careful about second-hand ponies..... did Adam come clean about the roll-over damage? 7@=Q

"Yeah well." as film critic Mitchell Prettyplace puts it in his definitive 18-volume study of _King Kong_, "you know, he _did_ love her, folks."

  37. Nope, The pony is broken. The zebra, however, runs like a dream...

Really, Adam, I am absolutely convinced that you were a deranged zookeeper in the last life.
