Karen's notes: It turns out that Banana Man was an English cartoon superhero during Adam's impressionable years. Here he is:
Check out those awesome boots!
As for the little people, Adam's kids are with us for 10 days now, and we had their two cousins here yesterday as well. The flat certainly LOOKS like it was taken over by some sort of gang.
Bananaman was AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteEric is Bananaman!
ReplyDeleteBananaman was brilliant. I remember it very well. He lived on Acacia Avenue.
ReplyDeleteI loved Dangermouse too.
I loved banana man as a kid, and danger mouse....oooh and roger ramjet....all awesome.
ReplyDeleteThe middle qoute sounds a lot like a chapter from through the looking glass (the sequel for Alice In Wonderland)- Alice is introduced to her dinner and then she can't eat it, because it isn't polite to eat someone you were introduced to.

ReplyDeletebring back banana man and danger mouse.
ReplyDeleteThis is best the on the net since the net arrived.
Bananaman was on Nickelodeon back in the 80's here in America... it was awesome. So was Dangermouuse and Aardman Animations...
ReplyDeleteI love that third one: Is Eeky a British expression or an STM one?
ReplyDeleteI remember Bananaman, and have always lived in America!
ReplyDeleteDangerMouse was better... but hubby and I watched DM and Bananaman every afternoon when we first got married. back when nickelodeon aired the good stuff... he'll love this one!
ReplyDeleteI remember Bananamann, and Dangermouse and all the others. I used to smoke cannabis after work, and watch them. I smoked quite a lot of cannabis after work. and I still remember them so they must have been pretty good!
ReplyDelete....What was I.... talking about... Oh! Cannabis! Yes! Lots for me, thanks... Oh? Was I? Well BYE!
Yep, we got Bananaman in America. I remember it well, along with Danger Mouse. <3
ReplyDeleteWhen I think of bananas, they make me think of bananas.
ReplyDeleteWhat a circular statement!
Love it!
ReplyDeleteI love Bananaman. Perhaps Adam's coming over to the dark side and joining those of us who are vegetarians in our quest.
ReplyDeleteWhich is a reference to the turkey comment, not Bananaman. Although I suppose it could fit for both. ;)
ReplyDeleteI loved bananaman!
ReplyDeleteEric was an ordinary boy....
danger mouse rocked! pure and simple.
ReplyDeleteNot to be confused with *The* Banana Man, a clown I dimly remember seeing on TV in the early '60s....... 7@=e
ReplyDeleteYou mean the British cartoon...not English.
ReplyDeleteBananaman was amazing though.
Here's a link to the *other* Banana Man: enjoy! 7@=e http://facweb.furman.edu/~rbryson/BananaMan/index.html
ReplyDeleteHow do you come up with this stuff LOL when do you sleep or do you this in your sleep?
ReplyDeleteWhen he says the one about "I can't believe you went to pick up a turkey..." it reminds me of the same tone of annoyance and disbelief of "don't put the duck there! Put him on the swing. He'll have MUCH more fun over there." or something. That was my favorite!
ReplyDeleteha ha I remember Banana Man sooo clearly- AWESOME super hero!!! Well done Adam!! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI used to love Bananaman on TV. I think its was on ITV?
