Karen's notes: Sorry the post was late today, guys. Adam and I left really early this morning to give a presentation on our volunteering experiences to the kids' whole school! Kids just love pictures of fluffy animals.
Personally, I've never actually seen any possums dropping; but they must be dropping from a very great height........ the ones I see on the roadside are usually rather flat.... 7x=Q
Here is australia, we do get possums falling out of trees occasionally (like when they get into fights), but drop bears are what you really have to worry about!
Possums totally creep me out!! I think, besides the fact that they're just all around creepy, they remind me of the R.O.U.S.s: Rodents of Unusual Size in "The Princess Bride." (It's a movie from the late 80s in the US for anyone who's not familiar ... one of my all-time favorites!). It's a great movie, minus the super creepy big possum / rat things.
When my boyfriend and I were camping in New Zealand we had a possum fall on our tent in the middle of the night - though we didn't know it was a possum at the time. I was terrified!
JUst so you know. most of us would probably like pictures of fluffy animals
ReplyDeleteespecially pictures of fluffy possums falling from the sky

ReplyDeleteIt's a possum attack!
Isn't it spelled opossum?
ReplyDelete"Possum" is, I guess, an Americanism for opossum. Either one is fine over here.
