"I will NOT wear my lobster suit and dance in the street. Not even for rhubarb and custard. Go away and leave me alone. My bee costume is waiting. Bzzzzzzzzz."

And here is how Adam woke himself up:
"I laugh in your face. Ha ha ha ha. Ha ha. HA!!"

  1. Sounds like a superhero debating which uniform to wear. You know you gotta mix it up, cause if they've been on the trail of lobster man's alter ego, well.... Bee man it is today!

  2. Second one reminds me of Garrison Keillor's "The Finn Who Would Not Take a Sauna" (Prairie Home Companion): 'They had that certain something, that old je ne sais quoi, that made them laugh at danger, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!'

  3. Y'know, the first one really hit a string with me as a costumer. I can just imagine that conversation in relation to a convention. ;) Go, bee costume! (Any chance of illustration?)

The second one has shirt material.

  4. I wish there was a T-shirt with audio. The second one would be perfect for a shirt like that. When standing in front of someone the shirt would actually say that to the person in the same way STM did.

  5. I know an artist who wears a lobster suit for his performances:

  6. Okay, the first one was hilarious, as usual. Thank you once again for my daily dose of much needed humor! ... I don't know if they have those in England, but if not, I'm sure Karen will know what I'm talking about and can explain to Adam ... but it made me think of the businesses that pay people to dress up as different characters in an attempt to attract business to their establishment. (The Statue of Liberty, Uncle Sam ... heck, probably lobsters, too!) Perhaps STM got tired of working for the seafood restaurant and wanted to instead go to a bee farm, farmers' market or something ... or maybe even a dating service ("Won't you Bee Mine?") ... And if so, what a happy worker he is in what has to be a REALLY boring job! ;o)

Totally random, but the second one reminded me of the scene in "The Princess Bride" (if you haven't seen it, you should!) where Westley (disguised as "The Dread Pirate Roberts") has a "Battle of Wits" with Viccini using glasses laced with poison. Viccini has thought he's won, goes on and on about how you should never mess with a Sicilian ... etc, etc, etc ... then says, "Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ...." then freezes and falls over dead.
