"Elvis is dead. He is dead, I tell you! Buried and oh just a little bit smelly. Bad burger muncher."
or click here__________
Karen's notes: I was utterly baffled by that last phrase. "What did that have to do with anything?", I asked Adam. He replied, "Elvis ate a lot of burgers, didn't he?" Yeah, whatever.
Shameless merch update: "CAKE-A-DOODLE-DOOooo" is now on shirts, aprons and mugs. "I'm the reason why there's so many adjectives for awesome" is on mugs, and the shirts will be up later today.
Also, the prices on STM greeting cards have just dropped!
AND, I added "BaGAWK" and "Cake-a-doodle-dooo" as ringtones. Any other ringtones people want?
Links to all of the shops are in the left-hand panel.
Too funny! Most I ever got out of my husband was random talk about boilers (he's an engineer) and dreaming about being lost. He does ask though. ;)
ReplyDeleteKaren, I think CAKE-A-DOODLE-DOOooo also has some potential as a ringtone, no? :)
ReplyDeleteOh, Ori, you are correct! I'll add it!
ReplyDelete"Burger munching" can mean cunnilingus.
ReplyDeleteReally? That's one euphemism I have yet to encounter. Man, we have dirty minds eh?
ReplyDeleteMudlark!
ReplyDeleteHave it as a text tone. That would be awesome.
text tone?
ReplyDeleteoh, like, the tone when you get a text message? that's exactly what I have! I had Mudlark as my ringtone, but my co-workers were getting a little creeped out. I figured that changing it to the text tone instead was a fair compromise.
ReplyDeleteElvis enjoyed cheese burgers and put on quite a bit of weight before he died. They say this may have had an effect on his health
ReplyDeletei read something this morning that said he liked to put peanut butter on his burgers, is this true?
ReplyDeleteits common Elvis knowledge that his favorite sandwich was peanut butter and bananas, don't know if he put it in burgers though?
ReplyDeleteJessica
Peanut butter on burger are known, in the South, as a Goober Burgers. Don't knock 'em 'til you've tried 'em. They're actually quite tasty!!!
ReplyDeleteThere's a place in Atlanta, Georgia called the Vortex that has an Elvis Burger. It has peanut butter, fried bananas and bacon on it.
ReplyDeleteThere is a restaurant called the Works in Canada (not sure of anywhere else), that have burgers with peanut butter on them.
ReplyDeletei must try one. sounds too good to be true. karen... fire up the barbie, i bringing home the peanut butter!
ReplyDeletesmellie helli-elvi burger, buttered up peanuts- bacon in ban-nan-aaaahs, gooberly cheesumptious; a dead ringer for a cunil-linguist, of FIRE at barbering about bringing home the bacon; being utterly munchin on baffled-burgers boiled tasty and weighty, too good to be bad i tell you. . .

This blog is hilarious!!! We read it almost every day! So great! Hahaha!
ReplyDeleteWe love the blog. My son has the cake o'clock shirt and it is his favorite, could the cake-a-doodle doooo be made in kid sizes too?
ReplyDeleteMy dad was from South Carolina and a peanut butter and banana sandwich was a common staple for snack time for him. He always used to put the bananas and peanut butter into a bowl and just smashed it all up before spreading it on his good ol white bread! Lol, oh what memories that brings back. Of course, us kids thought he was nuts to eat that mess. So I can't even begin to imagine peanut butter on a hamburger. Lol, hmmmm....might work better if you worked the peanut butter in the ground beef before cooking it, lol. Oh the directions our little minds go off to.
ReplyDeleteWe ate PB on cheap wheat bread with banana sliced on top. Sardines on crackers, too, and bologna bats - you know, if you take a circle of bologna, fold it on half, and take a bite out of the curved sides? Makes a bat shape, which you could then flap across the air annoyingly and bug your siblings with. Poverty food. Pintos, too - days of nothing but pintos! Jiffy cornbread, quarter a box... laws, glad I ain't po' no mo'!
ReplyDeletePeaNut ButTer on jaewurst sausage with mustard seeds throughout, couldn't get enough of it, memories then and now, the combo with bite so good.
ReplyDeleteoops, make that jagdwurst, to savour sticky palats.
ReplyDeleteone day late in discussion: Elvis infamously flew himself and his buddies to Denver to have a sandwich: one sandwich = hollowed out bread loaf, a jar of PB, a jar of jam and a whole pound of bacon.
ReplyDeletebtwn them they ate more than 20
This website rocks!! Thanks for posting all this, Karen. Is it appropriate to suggest tee shirts and such? I would love one with "You open your mouth and I punch your face. It's a fair exchange. We'll both be hurting." Or even "I love that you are so generous. Keep giving...to me. Give everything to me." (may have the wording wrong there). So funny!!!
