"I do love you. Nah, fuck it. I can't lie anymore. But I could love you, if I hadn't given myself over to loving somebody from the human race."

That was from the nest egg, as there was no sleep talking last night. However, when going through the recording, I found this, of which I have absolutely zero recollection whatsoever. It seems that Adam woke up suddenly in the early hours of the morning to find my face three inches from his, staring intently.

ADAM: | AH! AH! .... Oh! Will you STOP attacking me in my sleep! You were attacking me with love weren't you? What did you do? |
KAREN: | mumble mumble attacking? |
ADAM: | Well, when I wake up and there's this face looming at me, it's a bit scary! Come closer. You come closer! Now go back to sleep the way you were, snoring lightly. |
Yeeees..?!
ReplyDelete...You two are just a perfect match, aren't you? ;)
Both creepy and funny at the same time! Karen, I think what you said there was more in the line of "(mumbling) Wasn't attacking!", that's what I heard, anyway.
ReplyDeleteMy husband headbutted me (not very hard, thankfully) in his sleep the other day. Adam, you should be grateful Karen was just looming!
ReplyDeletehey adam.... I think all those semi mean things STM says might be getting to her. or atleast STM has been rubbing off on karen and she now has SSW to get back at STM. SSW = Sleep scaring woman
ReplyDeleteyou might want to start thinking of investing in body armor!! lol
I've attacked my hubby in my sleep.... or so he says. I apparently elbowed him in the face hard enough to give him a black eye one night.....
ReplyDeleteTalk about looming, my late husband had a deviated septum and was a snorer. Every now and again I would wake up to dead silence. I would sit up in bed and literally loom over him to see if he was breathing. He always was and luckily he never woke up when I did this, I can't imagine what his reaction would have been.
ReplyDeleteOMG, Karen! He's rubbing off on you! a karate chop and now hovering...And the occasional bit of sleep talking of your own!
ReplyDeleteLove you guys. You make my morning...
To me it sounds like Karen mumbled, "I didn't attack you."
ReplyDeleteHm, I actually heard "what do you mean 'attacking'?" I definitely heard a question in Karen's voice.
ReplyDeleteNow see, I heard very clearly, "I wasn't attacking." Hahah.
ReplyDeleteI also heard him say, "Please stop attacking" instead of "Will you."
ReplyDeleteI once woke up to find myself looming over my ex boyfriends face whilst laughing. He was absolutely terrified.
ReplyDeletemaybe karen is starting to sleep stuff as well.. Sleep talk, sleep loom.. sleep stuff :d
ReplyDeleteDefinitely "Wasn't attacking".....
ReplyDeleteBut - sleep looming? That *would* give anybody a bit of a turn..... 7@=Q
BTW: if anybody ever catches me reciting the first chapter of "Moby-Dick" in my sleep (it *could* happen), would that be 'sleep Loomings'? 7@=Q
ReplyDeleteI think that Karen wasn't attacking Adam, and Adam wasn't talking. I think STM was being attacked and Karen got in the way. If you listen to how Adam says "Come closer. You come closer!" the inflections are similar to STM. Just a thought.
ReplyDeleteThe second part reminds me of that scene in the 2nd Bridget Jones book where she's watching her boyfriend sleep and he wakes up long enough to tell her to stop staring at him.
ReplyDeletePS. May we please Super Cupcake and his sidekick Pink Icing with FGK's rendering on a t-shirt, please?
ReplyDeleteDefinitely "Wasn't attacking".....
ReplyDeleteHave just remembered a sleep attack story. I must have blocked it as it is a literally very painful memory! My fiance one night, planted his elbow firmly in my left boob, and used that elbow to lift his entire body weight and lever himself into a sitting position! He then was confused and concerned about why he had been woken by my shriek of pain!
ReplyDeleteOne night after my husband and I had watched a horror movie I was looking at him as he slept. He woke up to see my eyes and he shrieked, kicked me out of bed halfway across the room and kept screaming for almost a full minute, pressing up against the wall staring at me. I tried to calm him down and got back in bed, cuddling and trying to calm/comfort him. A few minutes later he said, in an incredibly suspicious tone, that he didn't remember me getting back into the bed. We stayed up the rest of the night with the bedside lamp on and cheery music playing.
ReplyDeleteIt definitely sounds like "Wasn't attacking."
ReplyDeleteOne morning I woke up, rolled over and gazed affectionately at my boyfriend of over two years. His eyes snapped open and he growled "How long have you been staring at me?!" Apparently in his sleep-addled state, the only way I could have been looking at him is if I had been STARING AT HIM ALL NIGHT.
ReplyDeleteAnother quiet night Karen.
