"It's okay. I'm just gonna use my hands as hats for your boobies."

Oh, thanks for that.

And here is how Adam woke himself up. Note: In the US, fanny is mild slang for ass. In the UK, fanny is mild slang for vagina.

STM: Fanny. Fanny fanny... FANNY BATTER!!
KAREN: ... What did you say?
ADAM: Something "batter".
KAREN: Oh, in that case, yeah, I know, that's what I thought.
ADAM: I feel like I ripped out my throat doing that.
KAREN: You said "fanny batter."
ADAM: The UK version of "fanny"?
KAREN: Yeah.
ADAM: Okay. I do apologise. My mouth, but not my words.

  1. This is way more obscene than you might imagine in the US. "Fanny Batter" is er.. "vaginal secretions" :)

  2. I think it's a good thing STM comes with a disclaimer. ;)

  5. My favorite parts of this blog are the extra little conversations you and Adam have. STM is great, but you guys laughing and talking about him is a whole lot more entertaining. Love the blog! Long time listener first time commenting :)

now if I could just find boobies to cover up I'll be a happy guy. :P
btw "fanny, fanny, fanny.... FANNY BATTER" would make an interesting ringtone. well so would the 1st one too. Imagine sitting on the loo and all of a sudden you hear..... "fanny, fanny, fanny..... FANNY BATTER!"

  7. The forgone conclusion is that he's talking about women's boobies... but could he be speaking about the endangered bird? He's said stranger things before.

  8. Wow... so a "fanny pack", as we in the US refer to it, sounds really obscene to the Brits...

  9. Anonymous (last) - Actually, yes. And that has presented a problem now and then for me. Like when I gave Adam's kids a Weird Al Yankovic song where he mentions "fanny pack", and their mother thought I was giving them obscene music.

It's called a "bum bag" here.

Now I know why a fanny pack hanging under the fat belly of a man in a speedo gives me the willies.

  12. I love the part of your conversation with adam!

  13. Oh like "bum bag" sounds any better than fanny pack!! LOL

  14. And that's why a lot of people call them hip packs.

That, and because they wear them on their hip.

I always wore mine in front. Back and hip allowed too many chances for pickpockets.

  16. Um, so my girlfriend really wants "hands as hats for boobies" for a ringtone. Is there any way to do that?

  17. oh both of you guys seem to have overslept :D nothing for today. do you actually believe that I did not know if I write what I wrote I get nothing for today? and do you know that I did not want to give you the chance of triumphing this way? and did you actually think, that this way of dominating me is not one of the bad things I was talking about? just asking.

  18. In this discussion, you sound even more like Karen Gillan...

  19. Maybe someone here with google fu can find this - years ago, like maybe late 80s, early 90s, I saw this really horrible looking dress in a magazine. Some sort of "fashion" so where the idea was to create really weird stuff. Anyway, the dress was covered in opera length gloves that had been stuffed or something. Each was a different bright color and the hands on two of them were right on the boobs of the model.

Anyway, every time I look at this post I think of that dress. But when I try to google for it I only find the one made of rubber gloves and the one made from condoms.

  20. I think "My mouth, but not my words" could be the blog's tagline. It perfectly describes the relationship between Adam and STM.

  21. Yes this should be his tagline and every man should have this phrase in his head. Hilarious: "Okay. I do apologise. My mouth, but not my words."
