    A 'wanker' is someone who masturbates. You might also hear someone calling another a 'tosser' in an English film which means the same thing. As you mentioned it's meant more as an insulting put down. What is a schmuck?

    As with most epithets meaning a person we don't like, "schmuck" has a colorful past. It's a Yiddish word for foreskin.
