"Set lasers to 'cheese'. We're gonna gouda these mother fuckers. It's fondue time."
or click here"Wobble chops. Wobble chops and bubbly steak and ass monkey! Mmmmm."
I suspect that this one can be explained by the fact that Adam has spent two crazy weeks working on a huge display for the upcoming Star Trek convention. Also, we made the irreversible mistake of watching Star Wars: Attack of the Clones on TV Sunday. It doesn't get better the second time around, I can tell you.
Now, does anyone want to try to make sense of this one? I've taken a crack at it:

Adam's helping with the con? Nice. :) Know a lot of people who will crew it. It's gonna be crazy!
ReplyDeleteFunny ST joke!
The second sounds like a dinner menu? You can get wobble chops, but you can also get a plate with wobble chops, bubbly steak AND ass monkey! And that seems to be what STM wants. ;)
Wobble chops immediately makes me think of a fat person with jowls and multiple chins.
ReplyDeleteWobble chops - pork chops in aspic (the gelatin would wobble if disturbed)
ReplyDeleteBubbly steak? Could be steak served in chafing dishes of very hot and bubbling gravy.
But ass monkey? *shudder* Not gonna touch that one with a ten foot pole!
~Karen (the other one)
What did he make? I'm going to Destination Star Trek London on the weekend :D
ReplyDeleteBTW, I'm not a scary trekkie, I just enjoy watching it too much :)
I will be disappointed if I don't see cheese phasers at DSTL now!
ReplyDelete"GOW-da"? I always thought it was "GOO-da".... 7@=Q
ReplyDeletein the UK that is correct ('gow-da'). :)
Delete"Taken a CRACK at it"? ... Ass monkey?
ReplyDeleteKaren - no matter how you slice it, that's bad cheese.
;-)
The first one made me think of the movie Spaceballs.
ReplyDeleteYou have become my new favorite blog.... this is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteMixing Star Trek with fondue? How does STM come up with these things?! :D
ReplyDeleteAlso, just to be a helpful person:
yes it is GOW-da and not GOO-da. :)
(It's also with a very Dutch G, but I wouldn't try that one if you're not Dutch :P)
OMG, one of my biggest dreams is to go back to the UK and go to a sci-fi convention! British fans ROCK! However, this weekend I'm working/running Disabled Services at a local con here in San Diego, put on by some of the founders of Comic Con; almost more of a family/school reunion than a con. But oh yes, K'Lannagh WILL be there, my Klingon drag will be in FULL EFFECT. Now I need to look in my Klingon dictionary for how to say "You better WORK!"; knowing how Klingonese works, it'll probably translate to "I COMMAND you to WORK!" <<>:) (<--Klingon Smiley)
ReplyDeleteCheers, thanks a lot, and Qapla'!
Storm the Klingon
Wobble chops: pork's answer to shaking beef (which I've watched closely and never seen tremble).
ReplyDeleteI thought he said "wobble tots" for the first time and then "bobble chops" the second time
ReplyDeleteThe irreversible mistake of watching Star Wars: Attack of the Clones on TV Sunday.
ReplyDeleteNothing beats finding some useful information, for my research, keep em coming.
ReplyDeleteHaha what a great blog you have. And I am from Holland and it is very funny to hear "Gouda" in English!
ReplyDeleteI thought he said "horse monkey". Maybe watching sci-fi brought back memories of Planet of the Apes?
