Well, Adam remained in the depths of silent slumber until the alarm this morning.
But, if you take a look at the post below, I've added a special treat!
AND, I've put some new quotes up in the t-shirt shop, including my new personal favorite, "Superstar Donkey Jockey". By the way, notice the handy right-hand navigation in the shop. It's so easy to find what you're looking for!
Delightful offering of new autio!!!!!! There is something so absolutely endearing in Adam's voice that it just makes me grin and laugh!!!
ReplyDeleteI have to say, your husband is the Hunter S. Thompson of sleep talkers. My stepfather, while working for a defense contractor, used to sleep talk, years ago, when I was a kid. My mom caught a few good ones.
ReplyDelete"Bona (my mother) you know how much I love you, but you have no idea how to drive a nuclear powered battleship"
"Make sure to have your peanut butter and jellies when u fly the friendly skies"
Man, I thought his were funny. Your site has become a daily laugh-fest for me. At a time in my life where laughter is truly needed, you come out with flying colors. Thank you.
I just came across your blog a few days ago ... and I've been 'down-in-the-gut' laughing ever since!
ReplyDeletecarry on!
Had Adam ever thought about becoming a stand-up comedian?? I think he would be great! :)
ReplyDeleteGood stuff.
hello,many thanks for your blog
ReplyDelete-how can I listen to the Audio??
..sadly it doesn't work for me
I'm so sorry that the audio is not working for everyone. I'm sort of new at this, so I'm still trying to figure out how to embed it in a page in a fail-safe way.
ReplyDeleteAny suggestions?
About Adam becoming a stand-up comedian: He's honestly not that consistently funny. I mean, he has his moments, but not like Sleep Talkin' Man. He'd have to be a lie-down comedian.
all i had to do to listen to the audio, was to install quick time, works for my browser,
ReplyDeleteFire Fox 3.5.7
it also works with FF 3.6
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing all of these with us! They make me laugh every day.
ReplyDeleteI just wish I could listen to the audio! Even though I'm using Firefox and have Quicktime, they just look like black bars to me. Oh well...
This is truly hysterical stuff. I love it.
ReplyDeleteI talk in my sleep and my brother and sister used to deliberately try and introduce things into my dreams by talking or singing or generally messing with my head. It worked. My ex-boyfriend use to have full conversations with me while I was asleep and I have woken up yelling many strange things.
I have not found anything this funny on the interweb for many many years.
Still really really want a "Skipping..." T-shirt! (Am I the only one??) It reminds me of an ex-coworker I kinda miss, especially when that quote comes to mind, who used to say things like that.
ReplyDeleteHi there. I'm someone who used to sleep-talk a fair bit, and my boyfriend jokes about finding a voice-recorder somewhere so he can catch some of my weirder ones. Good stuff!
ReplyDeleteMy only problem is I wish I could get the audio to play without cracking open your source code. I'm blind, and using a screenreader, and I can't even see the embedded doo hickers when I'm just on the page. So what I do is view the source and dig the links out that way. At least until you can find a better way to link to the audio, please mention any new audio you put up so I know to go hunting.

Adam, Karen --this is lighthearted humor that I enjoy seeing every morning.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your wacky dreams! :D
Great stuff, thanks.
ReplyDeleteDoes Adam remember his dreams when he wakes up? They must be pretty entertaining to have him saying these things.
I'm a newcomer to STM.
ReplyDeleteYou are both FANTASTIC! Thank you for sharing! : )
Why is Adam Weld allowed to put advertising in your blog?? A pox on you, A Weld!!!!!
ReplyDeletei must say that you have a quite unique blog..:)
ReplyDeleteTrue thanks to you both for sharing with us all. You give us some serious laughs. Since we can't pick all-time favorites, we choose weekly. Wishing you both great success in life outside this blog, and hoping this whole STM thing lasts for a good long while, too. PS-thanks for the audio, too!
ReplyDeletebahaha! Found this site from a friend yesterday. Tis hilarious, I must say. Holy cow!
ReplyDeleteSo...He doesn't usually cuss when he's awake? lol. It's like some kind of funny multiple personality disorder! It rocks!
Adam has the sweetest way of saying 'piss off' in the newest audio.
ReplyDeleteLove the blog! I saw the news clip this morning. I linked you on my blog with the clip!
ReplyDeleteSO FUNNY! Love the audio!
ReplyDeleteLove this sooo much! It's now on my facebook so I can share this with everyone. :-)
ReplyDeleteI am new to STM and I love it, I have clicked every link of you guys on the news and what not. What surprises me is that its happens almost everynight!
ReplyDeletePromise this is all completely real? I am so in love with this that I think that finding out it weren't 100% legit would be like discovering there's no Santa..
ReplyDeleteThanks for the added audio. It's so much funnier to hear the inflections Adam uses. What are the chances we can start getting more of those?
ReplyDeleteA truly brilliant blog! I haven't laughed so hard for so long, and so often! I have taken to quoting many of these throughout the day. Thank you so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that you are offering these quotes on t-shirts and whatnot too. What great gift ideas!
The new audio is a wonderful touch. To hear it in his voice adds so much!
I'm so glad you added the audio!! It had my coworkers and I laughing our heads off. My favorite is the duck on a swing :)

soooooo funny, my hubby used to sleep talk AND walk, one night he woke me up by getting out of bed and walking to the wardrobe, when i asked him what he was doing he said " I'm getting the bacon and eggs, and i need the ironing board" i told him he could get them in the morning and to come back to bed lol which he was quite happy to do. Keep up the good work Karen and Adam your a star :)

Wow, writers block hey.
ReplyDeleteDamn, maybe you'll think of something more like your previous ramblings of fictional tales... or maybe you'll just start ripping off lines from those cheap T-shirt companies who you seem to be aspiring to be.
I'm surprised Adam hasn't said "No fat chicks" or "save the whales, harpoon a fat chick" yet.
You should start a sister site and calculate all the people you've fooled, you could get an award for the greatest hoax in history.
I do admire the internet though, without people like you, it would probably be a good source of honest material.
Now grow up and get real.
Adam is really lucky to have you, someone who is amused by his sleeptalking and has found a way to have fun with it (and benefit from it). He could have ended up with someone who found it an insurmountable flaw. Good for the both of you!
ReplyDeleteAdam's sleep talking are funny to read, but they're hysterical to hear. I just love his sedate delivery.
ReplyDelete@ the last anonymous guy/girls post!! People like you shouldn't post comments!! If you don't like it, then read another blog!!
ReplyDeleteI like to start my mornings off by checking your blog. I get a good chuckle from Adam's quotes. Thank you for posting them.
ReplyDeletesuperstar donkey jockey is my personal fave, too. great blog! so original.
ReplyDeleteAnon;
ReplyDeleteNo, Adam could never be a stand-up comedian. It would have to be a lie-down one ... :D
