"Finger painting's fun. I need to get some more fingers, though. Give me your fingers. Oh fuck it, I'll just cut 'em off. You've got pretty fingers. I can do some pretty painting with those pretty fingers. Toes, I can use toes! Yay! I'm sorted. Fingers and toes."
I was eating cereal as I listened to the Finger Painting one, which is something that I do not suggest to anyone else. The scent of milk will remain in my nose all day.
Well, 'sorted' used in that way is very English - it's like 'all set', 'good to go', 'taken care of', that kind of thing - but you definitely have a point about what he described being sordid!
And Happy Anniversary, you two... here's to many, many more! :)`
Happy Anniversary! I think it says a lot about how well-matched you are that you bring such joy to each other's lives, Karen by being the presence that allowed STM to come out, and Adam by, well, entertaining Karen nightly!
A year today? WOW! Happy anniversary! My wife and I celebrated our tenth in June. We're both as stubborn as Jersey Mules, but we love each other, and we have a lot of fun together! As long as you have that, the bond just gets stronger and stronger!
off! with the finger tips... it'z f*zn, food for thought... finger foods'n toe foods, foodygoody 's' krautee chop splat! 'n a whack, pretty'n pink... painted ladies , 'n knuckle pops... just only... 'cut 'em off's'
1-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10 fried fingers to fingerprintz, across the board, deeply saturated in funny paint from fingertips one can't afford
oh so pretty for one pretty pennie, a gimme gimme gimmegimme all afinger of speech, finger sandwiches in a finger hut... a 5 finger discount, an account of accountability, all fuzzy to a 5 finger death punch munch munch munch munsch, a chalkful of fingers finger lakes; a pic-ofa 1000 words, ---kungpow snap,wow...kungfuze2utoo, sorta out of sorts "...pretty woman...pretty fingers two..."

Happy Anniversary Adam & Karen from a faithful reader!!! Here's wishing tons and bunches and tons of happiness in your marriage for years and years to come!!!
For an anniversary present I will tell you a sleep talking story in return. This weekend my 6 year old daughter (who talks in her sleep) and I went on a mini vacation with my husband's sister. While I was trying to go to sleep I hear my sister-in-law chuckle in her sleep. I then hear, in response, my daughter chuckle in her sleep and then say "yeah, I know." Apparently since I was not asleep I was left out of the conversation.
lol oh karen how do you not laugh your way into a coma every single day~~~~

ReplyDeleteDo you think maybe he meant he was sordid? Because cutting off fingers and toes is definitely sordid, and not sorted.
