  1. the shirts are great! the color choices are very nice, and you included my favorite quote. one thing i would suggest for next time, if you decide to eventually release a new batch... consider putting the quote on the front, and the name of the website on the back of the shirt. just a suggestion!

    I'm not familiar with how blogspot.com does it but I suppose a simple bbcode tag might work:

    And about the t-shirts... I really think you should change the design. Like someone suggested here, make it so that the quote is on the front without any other graphic (or at least without the website advert) and if you have to, put the website on the back.

    Personally I'd prefer to only have the quote :).

  19. Great job, WoSTM. Love the shirts! The Duck quote is my absolute fave. ;)

    It appears I'm in the minority, here, but I like the web address on the shirt. It gives a little context clue for the quotes (which otherwise, might appear--forgive me for saying-- a little stupid). Knowing they come from a "sleep talking man" is what makes them funny, IMO.

    And I realize that we, having bought the shirts in the first place, already know where the quotes come from, but what's the point in wearing a humorous T-shirt if you're the only one who gets it? It's a bit like laughing at your own joke...

    Good point about the exchange rate. It works just under £20 including postage from the US. It's difficult to know how it would compare from the UK site as the available t-shirts aren't exactly the same descriptions/brands as the US ones.

    Love the site. Have been visiting for a couple of months now, but found out only the other day that STM apparently went to uni with a mate's boss.

  23. I was very interested in buying a couple of shirts with his sayings but I won't buy these designs. I wanted just the saying in larger letters, with interesting/attractive lettering. I second the comment about how it should be the quote on the front and the website on the back, and also the comment about the current designs being too advertising-y and visually unattractive (I don't think they're ugly, they just look totally boring, and too small for people to read except from close up).     If it's a humorous Tshirt, it's a humorous tshirt, I think! For myself I'm not sure that knowing where if came from will make it funny for someone who doesn't find the quote alone funny - your mileage differs, of course - but for myself I think it's because they're absurd that I laugh at them, and they're absurd no matter who said them. Though the sleep talking does add to the funny, I agree!

    If I am wearing the Tshirt and people ask "what the hell? kittens? whiskers?" then I can say "oh it's a quote from this guy on the internet who sleep talks" :) easy!

    Although, now I think about it, I wouldn't mind if there was a little web address on the front if it was significantly smaller than the main text - small enough to not distract from the quote in any way. It's like the ZZZZZZZZZ that's on the Tshirts at the moment - they're terrible, IMO, they totally distract because they're the same colour and same text size as the quote as well as in the same bubble. The quote needs to be visually dominant on the Tshirt, which it is not at the moment.

    We actually would like to have the www on the back as well, but it would make the printing more expensive, thereby pushing the cost up. We're definitely open to it, though, if we keep hearing that.

  27. On the ZZZZZZZ: Oh whoops, they're not the same colour! I'm going mad! Well, they're not great either way, hahaha. All in my opinion though of course, others may love them! For me though the quotes are about kittens and legs and ducks and such, not about sleeping so ZZZZ is kinda random when you're talking about badger tickling.

    HELP I NEED AN INTERVENTION I CAN'T STOP COMMENTING @_@ AHHHHHH

    People, don't go to art school, you will find yourself compulsively analysing silly tshirts on the internet D:

  28. Oh, yes, about the size of the logo. We actually had that a good bit smaller to start, and wanted it smaller. But, because of the printing process, no lines can be smaller than .06 inches. We had to keep bumping the logo up to meet those standards.

    One of the best T shirt friendly short quotes is 'Badger ticking proceed with caution" Also logo definitely better on back. looks to corporate. Otherwise genius!

  45. i heard the story this morning on bbc america as i was on my way to work out (late, as always!) i was so tickled with the oompah loompah quote that i wrote it in my journal so that i could make a t-shirt with it...i am delighted to see that i can just get it straight from the horses mouth, so to speak! (denver, colorado) for us americans, you should do a line of bumper stickers - you know how we love to wear our opinions on our cars ;-)
