    Hmm, didn't have any bovines in my dream, but there where crazed bears and talking mutant ostriches. Luckily the ostriches didn't like the intelligent zombies anymore than me. ;P Go, TMO! Let's beat those zombies!

    In UK English, "turtles" are specifically watergoing (i.e. have flippers, e.g. leatherback turtle). A land-based one is a "tortoise" (e.g. spur-thighed tortoise, giant Galapagos tortoise, star tortoise, Hermann's tortoise).

    @Herm: further, many UK English speakers would describe all freshwater turtles as "terrapins", using "turtle" to mean "sea turtle" exclusively.

    "Dick Terrapin" made me literally laugh out loud.

    I am a turtle girl (love them) and terrapins - so I LOVE This one! As far as turtle semantics - at least here in the US, a Tortoise is land only, a terrapin is water and land and a turtle is a water only. I personally, love them all.
