Karen's notes: That last one is my personal favorite in a while. It's all about the audio.

These happened around 3:30 in the morning. A few hours later, about 10 minutes before the alarm was to go off, I wanted to see if I could get more out of him, so I started making little noises. Adam's eyes suddenly popped open and he said in his most accusing voice, "Were you humming at me? You bloody well were, weren't you!" I tried to play it off, but I was totally busted. Experiment fail.

  4. LOVE the last one, and same as the commenter above: Do you seriously get up at that time every morning? If you do I will value my 6am wakeuptime and call it a lie in!

  5. Oh, sorry, I wasn't clear. I meant that he talked at 3:30. Then, a few hours later (10 mins before the alarm) I tried to get him to talk more. I added that point.

  6. The sudden tone change in the last recording is absolutely terrifying.

  8. OMG!!! Those are way too funny! Especially the last one LOL!!!

Poor Karen (but nice try lol).

  9. IMO the 1st one is T-Shirt Worthy...

The second and the third are about the blandest things STM has ever said: no Tossbag! no Numbnuts! no threats, no insults, no arrogant demeanor. . . Is STM mellowing?

  10. VonMalcolm - They're boring on paper. But listen to that last audio! It's awesome! -Karen

  11. Sleep Talkin' Man whinging?!?! I never thought I'd see the day...

  12. never boring. when STM is continuously mean sounding, it gets old. the mix is best... especially the off the wall, total nonsense.
i'm with you Karen, the last one is my favorite audio in ages. the pathetic sound of his voice and sudden tone change are great.

  13. I can't help but think of the song "Fingertips" by They Might Be Giants when I hear the 2nd audio today...

"What's that blue thing... doing here?!"

STM's complaints seems along the lines of those lyrics...

  14. STM sounds almost a little scared as he says that "Oh. Okay, I'll do it myself" at the end! Lol! Any idea what made him go from yelling to that?

  15. Hi!!! I hope you read the comments, because I was so inspired by this, I made a fic out of it! it's in FanFiction (dot) net and the story ID is 5952014 you can search it at the top of the page. It evolves a lot of Final Fantasy, so if you don't know it, I'm happy to explain the characters, or else it doesn't make sense...

  16. I've been reading STM for a while and I crack up a lot, but this is the first time I've commented. The last one is hilarious. His voice sounds like a little boy at the beginning, then it goes to serious. Good stuff, lol.

  17. The audio from the last one is kind of funny (I usually don't listen to the audio): STM just seems so out of character when compared to what I've read from previous posts: STM capitulates and turns 'it off' himself: not the STM I know and love!

  20. @The Guest: my current theory is that Adam's sleeptalking brain has multiple personalities, and sometimes they talk to each other through him. Quite a few times, Adam has seemed to be having both sides of the conversation in his ramblings.

One Adam has a lotta gaLL!...to outright chaka-khan us when the time is ripe with his wimper and whine only to get the beast of us, as "T" said, a jumper to stand at attention it was...so clever to end up getting his way, ALLways...at the end...puctuated!...and the other has no say at'all...just grin-to-bear-it...barely ;)

lotza tall orders today...a personality split to show who's the boss in his place in the world, a corner peek at a 'bully" in action...oh, sleepy adam could scare wakey adam, i think, i don't even know him, but he could scare the daylights if face to face and since it's usually done in the dark...it was only a 'farce' cry to nightly and daytime enterjoyment...bring bags of mints for the trailer screening, up closed and personnel...however you want to use 'em....:) and runnn - - - faaast ( sez julyblack )

"Adam's Minding His Own BeesWax" (the movie) is
so convincing...it'll make one weep with wierdness and one It's A Wonderful Life Series we can't escape from...two...you may end up talking back, but who's listenin', yet, one wouldn't want to be seen alone doing so; anyways (watchout for co-workers)...and three...who cares...alterAdam is the king of kungfuing youuse-all and hears no evil, see no evil and speaks his evil ways that we relish it all up daybyday...and never the two shall meet...or else :O)

Real Adam may end up with
a b!g-nOse and one shiner if he doesn't look out for imaginary, Sir Adamtastic-night crawler and by day...Strangers in a strange landmind...never knew, never met, never saw, never yet...

Keep it up guys! I know I can check in here for a great laugh, not just a snicker or two.

  24. wow. great and hilarious as always.

for some reason when i listen to the audio i get a mental picture of Eddie Izzard saying STM's lines. which of course makes it even funnier. ;D

    ReplyDelete
  25. He seems to be channeling Alan Rickman as Snape at the start of the second one.

  26. I loved the TURN IT OFF clear as day. Whoa. He just makes my whole day.

  27. @platinum-Corbra

  29. I love the audio for the last one, it reminds me of my moods when I'm half asleep... aka muttering random things in a pathetic tone.

OMG funny. I can't believe how this is all still SO funny!

#2 sounds like a stern, non-biological version of "Don't put the duck there..."

#3 - STM whimpering and *quavering*!! What is the world coming to?? Soooo funny. The shift to "TURN IT OFF" kills me. The little "oh!" at the end sounds like C-Threepio of Stars Wars. And I'm dying to know what "it" was!

Karen making little noises and getting busted with "Were you humming at me??" (snort!) That comment is as funny as any of the others. You could turn that around and put it on a shirt: "Don't even THINK about humming at me!"

Loved this, Prof. Z: "Sir Adamtastic-night crawler and by day...Strangers in a strange landmind...never knew, never met, never saw, never yet... "

It's so much fun to come here - thank you so much, Karen and Adam!

  32. Last one totally reminded me of Smeagol/Gollum in Lord of the Rings...

  33. Did he wake himself off with that TURN IT OFF, I was completely reminded of the OW.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I'm surprised he didn't wake himself up when he yelled in that last one.. it seems like he was still asleep for the end of it though. That would make a really funny ringtone for someone you never want to pickup the phone for lol

  35. Oh and the second one reminded me of Wallace (Wallace & Grommit) for some reason that I can't quite place.
