"I've got to get me two or more of those little fellas if I'm going to be able to make goblin soup. Mmmhmm. It's so true."

"It's a fajita fight."
__________

Karen's notes: Poor things! Goblins have families too, you know.

I'm having so much fun buying STM onesies for all of our US baby friends. I think Superstar Donkey Jockey is the best (just imagine a little kiddie galloping away), but Adam prefers the ego-wanking options for tiny tots.

I can't believe that none of you commented on my new top navigation yesterday. The buttons change color when you scroll over them and everything. Come on, validate me!

  1. I did notice it...and its cool! Good job!! Love the blog by the way. First time commenting, but read everyday!!

  2. Fajita fight! That would be awesome as long as they weren't the sizzling hot ones you get brought out to you on the big iron skillet thinger. In which case it would only be awesome when the *other* guy got hit.
YES KAREN, I LOVE THE TOP NAVIGATION =D The colour-changing on mouseover is awesome! Sorry I missed it yesterday, I didn't get a chance to check STM due to the holiday. :)

  3. I don't know what I like better. Adam's comment about goblins or your reply. Your posts keep me in stitches, but do you ever worry about the language he uses in his sleep. LOL! Hope there's not a subliminal message there. Love you guys, keep posting : )

  5. Saw the new buttons, checked them out, just didn't realize they were that new although I come here every morning.

  7. Karen, I just discovered your blog and last night I stayed up reading all of them. I have never laughed so hard in my life.

  8. Very groovy nav buttons!! Karen you're so techie!!

On a more serious note, I'm not sure goblin soup would be very yummy. Must be a British thing.

  9. WOW!! Those buttons are Awesome!! lol
    Sorry Karen, I didn't actually notice :(
You know the onesies are almost enough to make me want another baby..... Almost!
Keep the funny coming guys and I hope you enjoy your time with your family Karen.

  10. Being a computer geek myself, love the mouse overs :o).

Know you have the FAQ section, but you might want to put up a Q&A area where fans may post questions, where you can answer or NOT - private life is private life. You do answer a lot in the blog, but sometimes hard to find.

My first question would be - Does Adam ever take sleeping pills? Wondering if that affects his alter ego.

    Keep it going - I'm a believer!

  11. Oh god...I have to buy onesies for my nephew!

    ReplyDelete
  12. I didn't notice because i don't usually do much navigating beyond getting here ^_^ But they're very shiny. Well Done.

and I am all for ego-wanking.

    and on a final note...
    Mmmm, Goblins. ^_^

  13. Yay for goblin soup! They're tasty little critters! lol

  14. A goblin is for life you know, not just soup days!
    As for ego-wanking... pure genius!

  15. I must be dense, or my Mac must not play the colored navigation button game - because I have NO clue what you are talking about. Anyone care to clue me in??? First things first - I don't even see any navigation "buttons" - colored or not. Now, as I move my mouse everywhere I can, some of the names or words become colored. If they didn't do that before, I never made note of it.

Save me a bowl of goblin soup to go with my fajita, please.

  16. hehe...

    the buttons are amazing.

  17. Apologies! They sure are awesome.

  20. The "light-up" buttons are very cool. But those of us who read you (faithfully, I might add) in Google Reader or something similar don't see them.

  26. Lovely buttons, Karen! On the rare occasion I miss a post here, I always have to backtrack and catch them all. You know, I don't care what anyone says, NO ONE could, on purpose, come up with some of the random stuff Adam says. Can make any crap day a good day! Thanks for the laughs!

  27. Awesome new navigation! It's the little things that make websites cute.

PS: if you take your audio embeds and wrap them in the new HTML5 <audio src="whatever.mp3" controls="controls"> </audio> tags, people on iPhones/iPads/etc will be able to listen to them! Leaving the <embed></embed> inside the audio tags will let browsers that DON'T support HTML5 still look just the same :)

    mmm.mmm.good.

gobblin' fajitas and soupin' it all up...

    - those little fellas are truely fightin' for horsey time, a tiny tot ego on the superstar donkey; jockeying in their cutzy ways...and Karen, colorfully navigating and changing colors those scrolling flags, to validate a winner in all...a family affair...

in a wordystring, another day for wordplay in a STM way g'day ;D

S-D-J was my early fav too on a long sleeve, goes with my western wear..loveit!

Happy Galloping...into the sunset for more dreams galore...tomor-e-i-e-i...ooohhh....

  29. Love your blog - it's one of the few pages I look at every day. Unfortunately your buttons look nice but don't work on my Mac. In fact, I can't get to any of your audio anymore, which I love to listen to. The audio page just gives me a list of what I assume should be links but don't do anything... Anyway, looks like you've been working hard to improve it & if it works for most everyone else, then good job! :)

  30. I have to say, I really look forward to reading this blog daily. It makes me smile and we all need more smiles in our lives. Thank you for posting these little snippets of hilarity!

    ReplyDelete
  31. It seems that Prof. ZzzMAN-ylizer decided to make sense today! And, I love both your blog and your buttons. As I say sometimes, I'll push *your* buttons! ( <- can be taken anyway you want it to.)

    ReplyDelete
  32. You know what you should have done is make each one a different colour! That would be most impressive.

    ReplyDelete
  33. HOLY CROW look at those incredibly COOL change-color-on-mouseover-buttons!!!

Re the goblins, I have to hark back to the pigs... pigs have families, too! And, if using LOTR goblins as the model, it only seems right to spare the pigs if it came down to a choice. However I don't think those goblins would qualify as "little fellas"...

I know, I know, vegetarians will be the first to go. :)

All the newer audio on the audio list!! Awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Vegetarian goblins must be at the top of Adam's list.

Great job on the new look, Karen!

    ReplyDelete
  35. oh wow, I understand the professor today!

    And oooooh...shiny buttons! *cheers Karen*

But I'm still trying to figure out why Adam is eating goblins...

    ReplyDelete
  36. Absolutely didn't notice it. But I never used it anyway...just immediately look for the new posts. :)

  37. The rollovers are awesome, great work. My husband talks a lot in his sleep, too, but never anything as funny. Although one night he did sit bolt upright and said in a strident manner, "I'd RATHER have the fish!!" and laid down and went on snoring. I couldn't sleep because I was giggling, so I can only imagine that you are giggling throughout the night quite often!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Ooooh, Karen, did you edit the HTML (or other formatting language) code yourself??

I'm finishing up a minor in web development, so I'm intrigued as to how you've gone about formatting everything. If you haven't the slightest, that's okay...just ignore my geekdom... :)

  39. You. Are. AWEsome!!!!!

    :-D

  40. I can comment again! YAY! (tried deleting blog, ended up deleting it all, oops) Anyhoo, I noticed the buttons, even used a couple, but I didn't realize that you did it. Kudos Karen! :-)

STM - Funny stuff as usual!

  41. Hi Karen

I was wondering if you could add childrens sizes to your STM store- PLeazzze
    BTW buttens are sensational

    ReplyDelete
  42. 2manywhiskers- I hate to show off my geek knowledge, but the pig like creatures from LOTR were Orcs and not goblins.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Goblins huh? Makes me really wonder what the heck does he read or watch on TV before he goes to sleep. Poor you Karen, do you ever sleep through the night with all the racket and hilarity.

  44. You've planted a subliminal message in me with this blog. My girlfriend woke me up laughing the other night because apparently, I yelled in my sleep "Give me the rifle!" and when she said "What?" I sheepishly half wakenly replied "The zombies..."

I never even KNEW I slept talked, but this blog made her super aware I guess.

    LOVE IT! and Goblin stew...*nom*

  46. Sorry about the double post...It said it didn't post, so I tried a different site login...apparently the site wanted to punish my love of goblin stew :(

  47. I have also been buying up onesies (and stuff for myself. Badgertastic!) but I think the "love" ones go over better as gifts. The "let me introduce myself" Awesome one is particularly perfect for a friend of mine's first. I got the "maggot mayhem" onsie which I think is hilarious, but am reconsidering how appropriate it will be to send to a friend.

  48. validation - love the new navigation - validation - very easy clicking - validation

my boyfriends a BIG guy and I would LOVE to get him some tees. Can you add larger sizes 3x and 4x for USA pretty please with an elephant trunk on top??? Are there other purse or tote bag options available to add?

    ReplyDelete
  50. Anon at 14:22 - oh, how could you feel any hesitation about claiming to be a LOTR geek?? :) :) I believe, though, that while Orc is the proper name of the race, goblin refers to the same creature (of which there are many types).

  51. oooooo Adam! thank you so much! I used to sleep talk and walk but must have grown out of it. I think my funniest story was when I was a teenager my family and I were camping in Maine and the sleep talking/walking was very active one night. The short version is at one point I got up and my father asked me where I was going, I replied the bathroom and proceed to sit on my mothers head.....luck for her nothing happened! =)
