Adam talked his head off last night, and I put a bunch aside for a quiet night. But these three were right in a row. It's like STM went through an entire relationship over the course of 5 minutes...
"Okay. Brace yourself. I can't be held responsible for the fallout. You ready? I Like You. Yeah, rock 'n roll."
 or click here
"How much do I love you? As much as I love myself, toned down a little bit."
 or click here
"Oh, this is a full stop. This is finished. This is no more. This is you and me. I'll make myself clear: piss off!"
 or click here

And then, we had this:
"We gotta get out of here. Oh! There's a giant aye-aye coming, and he's pissed! Oh!"
 or click here

Neither of us had any idea what Adam was talking about, so we googled around a bit. We discovered that an aye-aye is a type of lemur:
They are super freaky-looking. What is more freaky, though, is that Adam insists that he has never heard of aye-ayes in his life.

Merch news: Loads of people wanted "BOOBS" as a ringtone, so go get it!

And, I forgot to mention yesterday, I put "Right, like I joined to get fit. I joined for the mirrors!" into the shops. I want to see you all wearing it to the gym.

  1. I'll bet he has heard of an aye-aye but he's just forgot. They've been on many a nature programme.

  2. Maybe Aye-Aye meant Pirate?

  3. Man o man! I would love to wear that shirt at the gym but I go to the gym to gawk at hot men....not the mirrors lol :-P

  4. Ah, but ask yourself this, Giusseppe: do the mirrors not make gawking at hot men (or women, for that matter), just that much easier? None of that laborious "turning your neck" to ogle. Streamlines the whole process for you, if you will ;)

  5. i might be wrong but, if Adam is anything like what i imagine him to be, then he knows Douglas Adams and has read a few (if not ALL) books by him. Douglas Adams actually went on an expidition to madagascar to see the Aye-Ayes there...
    maybe that's a clue? :)

love your blog and you guys are wonderful!

  6. "How much do I love you? As much as I love myself, tuned down a little bit."

This would make a great Valentine's card for significant others with a sense of humour!

  7. Alicia I was just going to say that! What a fantastic card...especially if the person knows STM and his ego centrism!

I cant wait to hear what else he said last night!

now dreamwise, perhaps alter ego NOTiness crept up at the backstage pass to a concert fave, well,
perhaps not. ;] - - - tuned down to turn downs, just a bitty bit...
    ...fini...scram...swoopin'down on the lodown, aye,
    aye, captain-sir......we're outta here...
    ...i, i...gotta go! Ayers Rock.
    super pissed, "p- i- s- e- d-!"

Another one for Trivial Pursuit, new knowledge from the sleeping man's textbook study, an ongoing case.

  10. Hello ! The aye aye photo you got was one of a "baby". The bigger ones look less freaky, more like a monkey.

  12. The aye-aye comment reminded me of the bush-babies one from a few months ago... maybe this was just stuck further back in STM's memory banks? - Still getting a smile from this blog every morning! Oh and I LOVE "How much do I love you?" lol

  13. That is the creepiest looking creature I've ever seen! Now I'm going to have nightmares about them myself.

  14. Don't sweat the giant aye-aye, Adam. He's pissed, but not at you! He's come to join the bees, bats, boars, scorpions, angry weasels, Kimodo dragon, and vultures I described in the comments section of the last post. (The one about the boobs). They are, as we speak in full march to the home of the horrid people who denied the iguana a proper tea! I would not want to be them, or their neighbors!

  15. I'd say it's "toned" not "tuned"
And they do say we don't use a really high percentage of our brains - so know knows what's in there... that apparently comes out at night...

  16. Yes, I concur, either toned down or turned down. Doesn't matter much though.

  17. just a qestion.. what about plus sizes in the shirt shop :(

    ReplyDelete
  18. Hi Yoda - If there is anything you want in a plus size that isn't there, just email and let me know. Make sure you tell me what quote, which shop (US or UK), and whether you want to simple text version, or the speech bubble design! -Karen

  19. The rules of keeping Aye-ayes
    1-Don't expose them to sunlight
2-Don't feed them after midnight, and finally
3-For crying out loud don't splash water on them.

  20. lol sparky i know where you got that one from that movie is particular used to give me nightmares. Luckily I am now grown up and not to badly messed up by it.

  21. Been listening to this blog for a while now. Loving it!

Anonymous (above me), Gremlins gave you nightmares? That was a comedy movie :)

  22. It seems a lot of Adam's dreams are about obscure furry jungle creatures with large eyes...

I love this blog so much.

  23. That Aye Aye thing is freaky looking as HELL

  24. That is by far the scariest looking animal I've ever seen! It's even worse than that terrifying, nearly-bald, seriously fugly dog. (http://www.petville.com/photos/uncategorized/samugly.jpg)

It's a good thing the aye aye wasn't in one of his dreams - then it would undoubtedly qualify as a nightmare!!

  25. Stephen Fry recently had a show called 'last chance to see' where he travelled in Douglas Adams footsteps.

One of the animals they visited was the Aye-Aye.

I'm pretty sure this was send on BBC, could be Adam caught a glimpse while zapping around?

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/earth/hi/earth_news/newsid_8258000/8258569.stm

    I can recommend that show.

  26. Funny stuff! especially the aye-aye one!

Good to know about the plus size; the 2x was a teensy-weensy bit tight ;-)

    Cheers!

  27. The second quote is priceless IMO.

  28. That is the absolute creepiest creature I have ever seen. I mean, I like to think that I am a lover of all living things, but that's just scary. It looks like some tiny movie monster. Yikes!

  29. I bought my husband the "mirrors" shirt specifically to wear to the gym! Maybe that will be a little more incentive to actually go. Well, I can always hope anyway.

  30. The movie Madagascar has an aye aye in it. If you've seen that movie, potentially it could have seeped into your unconscious that way.
